The Carers Centre is a local charity and has worked exclusively with unpaid carers for nearly 27 years in Brighton & Hove. Last year, we worked with and supported well over 1,000 young and adult carers aged between 8 and 90+. We are passionate and committed to making a difference to carers’ lives by offering tailor-made services and support.

Current Vacancies


The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove is looking for skilled individuals to fill the following positions:-

 Primary Care Carers Worker
35 hours per week (including weekends/evenings occasionally)
A four-year fixed term contract, extension of contract depends on future funding
£24,064 – £24,872 + 3% pension contribution

This post aims to provide carers awareness training across the Primary Care Services and link up with the Care Clusters of the city.

Administrator (part time)
20 hrs per week
A one-year contract initially; extension of contract depends on future funding
£16,231 p.a pro rata (within the salary scale £16,231 and £16,572, pro rata) + 3% pension contribution

This post is initially funded for one year (any extension would be dependent on future funding) and is a 20 hours (4 hours per day; Monday to Friday between 9am and 1pm) post working in the office to provide administrative and office support to the Centre.  We are looking for people with experience in office work and willing to learn new skills to build up their work experience and knowledge in administration.
