We offer a range of activities throughout the year. Some are fun breaks whilst others are more focused on supporting the caring role. Often just having the chance to spend time with other young carers can really help.
We offer:
Playdays for 8-10 year olds during the school holidays. Play days last year included a Spooky Special for Halloween and Harry Potter magic day
- Activity days for 11-12 year olds. For example sailing on Hove Lagoon or a trip ice skating.
- Support and outings for sibling carers during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
- Trips and outings for 8 – 12 year olds for example to the Pantomime or local activity parks.
- A regular programme of activities for teenagers planned by the group which previously has included trips to London Dungeons, cookery classes or music lessons with Rock’s cool.
This year we plan to set up a Young Carers Samba band culminating in a performance at the Brighton Carnival in July.
