Donations

Support Our Work

Because all our services are free we rely on donations to continue to offer services to adult and young carers in Brighton & Hove. In 2008 we launched a Birthday Appeal to celebrate the 20th anniversary year of the Carers Centre, and in order to continue and develop our work we are asking for donations of £1 for each year of our existence. There are several ways in which you can support us:

Making A One Off or Regular Donation

£60 could pay for counselling for a carer which can help them deal with difficult changes in their relationships caused by their caring role.

£50 could pay for a massage therapist to attend a group or event to ease stress by giving a much needed head, neck and shoulder massage.

A Birthday donation of £20 could pay for 20 copies of our regular newsletter, Carers News, to be distributed across the city to raise awareness of the Carers Centre to carers who need our support.

£10 could pay for activity materials and food for a young carers play day organised during school holidays to give 8-10 year old carers a chance to have fun.

You can make a donation using CAF Online’s secure site:

Donate through CAFOnline

or by sending a cheque made payable to the
'Carers Centre' to us.

If you are a UK taxpayer, under the Governments Gift Aid Scheme the Carers Centre can reclaim the tax you have already paid on your gift. This means that your donation can increase in value by nearly a third at no extra cost to you. Please select this option if donating online or indicate that you would like us to treat the donation as a Gift Aid donation when sending a cheque.

A Donation In Memory Of
A Loved One

The loss of someone you love is undoubtedly a difficult time. By asking for donations in memory of a loved one you will be helping us to continue to support local carers. We can accept donations in lieu of flowers or a collection at a funeral and will acknowledge your support in Carers News if you wish. Please ask your funeral director to arrange this.

Leaving Us A Legacy

Legacies are invaluable to the work of the Carers Centre as they allow us to fund a variety of ongoing projects for example the much appreciated Carers Breaks.  Your Solicitor will be able to advise you on how to do this or contact us for more information. Any amount will be put to good use.

For more information please contact us.
