Support & Advocacy

Holding Hands

The Carers Centre has a team of experienced Support & Outreach Workers who can offer information, advice, emotional support and advocacy to adult carers.

We offer the following services to adult carers:

  • Support and information through our ‘phone cover system (9-4 Mon-Fri)
  • One-off appointments with a Support Worker on Tues and Fri mornings
  • Time-limited one to one casework
  • Support groups
  • Information and advice
  • Signposting and referrals to other specialist services
  • Activities and events

Carers Card

A discount card is available for carers in Brighton and Hove, offering reduced prices in various shops and services throughout the city. To receive your card, you will need to have a letter confirming your eligibility. These can be obtained, if you care for:

  • a child who is on the Compass Card scheme, please call the Child Disability Services on 295530
  • a child who is NOT on the Compass Card scheme, please call Amaze on 772289
  • an adult please call Access Point on 295555
