Practical Assistance

Age UK

Runs the Help at Home Scheme, which provides a matching service for gardeners and home helps, who are self employed. The service is only for older people on low income. Also has a nail cutting service for Brighton and Hove residents aged 50+ who are unable to cut their own toenails.

Managed by The Federation Centre for Independent Living, the Noticeboard helps potential employers who are able to pay for the care of a person to get in touch with Personal Assistants (PAs) who are able to provide that care.
