Carers Breaks

carers_breakTwo-night breaks in a beautiful country setting for carers aged over 18 are organised regularly by the Buddhist Centre in Brighton. These (non-religious) breaks offer you a chance to rest, enjoy the company of other carers, try activities such as gentle yoga, relaxation and meditation, experience some complementary therapy, and be treated to delicious home-cooked meals. You will learn simple awareness and relaxation techniques which you can use when you return home. The breaks have been running since October 2005 and the feedback has been very positive. Comments include:

"It was beautifully organised, very relaxing, good for reflection"

"I felt safe and cared for"

The breaks, free to carers, are funded by Brighton and Hove Council and the Carers Centre.

If you would like to find out more about the breaks and live in Brighton and Hove, please contact the Carers Centre and ask to speak to a member of the Adult Carers Team.
