Carers Reablement Project

Could you help a carer to achieve a specific goal in up to 10 weeks?

From sharing a skill, helping a carer to achieve a specific goal or inspiring an interest or hobby.

We are currently looking for volunteers for the Carers Reablement Service. A pilot project designed to inspire and support carers to achieve positive changes in their lives.

This can only be done with the assistance of volunteers, who will help the carer to reach a clearly-defined outcome in a period of up to ten weeks.  These outcomes will aim to improve the well-being of the carer in some way.

Examples of our 10 week goals include learning to use a computer, starting going to the gym, creating a weight loss plan or acquiring basic cooking or car repair skills.

If the carer is wanting to take up a new hobby, it may also be possible to pair them with someone with experience to assist and inspire them.

As a volunteer you can decide how much time you can commit, and when you will be available to volunteer.

You will receive one to one support, guidance and training. We will also reimburse you for any travel expenses you incur.

If you are interested in helping with The Carers Reablement Project or would like more information please call Dan Wilkinson on 01273 746222 or email
