Thursday 23rd November 2023
We are excited to announce that Carers Rights Day falls on Thursday, 23rd November 2023.
To mark the occasion, we are collaborating with Brighton and Hove Council to host an event revisiting Brighton & Hove’s Carers Friendly City strategy.
Over the course of the day, we would like you to join us to share your views on how our city can become a more supportive place for carers. As experts by experience, your participation will directly impact the refreshment of the Carer Friendly City Strategy for 2024.
Our city’s strategy revolves around four essential pillars: Education, Employment, Healthcare, and Social Care.
We want to hear your opinions about what is working well in these sectors and what could be improved. Your thoughts and experiences will be used to help shape the future direction of support for unpaid carers in Brighton and Hove.
To facilitate this important conversation, we invite you to participate in our in-person sessions at the Leonardo Hotel, Brighton station. There are two sessions available for you to choose from:
Session 1: Leonardo Hotel, Brighton station, 11am – 2pm
Session 2: Leonardo Hotel, Brighton station, 4pm – 7.30pm
Your participation matters greatly, and we encourage as many carers as possible to join us.
If you would like to book yourself onto one of our sessions or if you cannot make one of the above sessions and would like to still have your views heard, please email info@thecarerscentre.org
Together, let’s explore new possibilities, inspire change and create a city where unpaid carers feel valued.
