Thrifty, nifty cooking for young carers
Co-op Members supporting our Thrift, Nifty cooking for Young Carers.
The Young Carers Project supports young people in Brighton and Hove who care for a family member with an illness, disability or substance misuse problem. These are children aged 6-17 who take on caring roles that are beyond what would be expected of someone of their age. This includes physical care, personal care and emotional care. We aim to reduce the impact of these roles.
The campaign runs until 21 October 2023 and if you are a Co-op member you can select to support Young Carers – find out more here (https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/67686).
And it gets better, Co-op members can still raise money for your cause by shopping at any of our Co-op Group stores across the UK.
You can also go into the following local stores in Brighton and Hove:
Funeralcare Dyke Road
Food Ridgeland House – Hove
Food Seven Dials
Food Brighton – 119 London Road
Although Waitrose no longer use the green tokens to support charity partners, they are still being amazing a donating to our Young Carers project.
