Support and Outreach Worker (Mental Health Carers)

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Support and Outreach Worker (Mental Health Carers) to join our team. The Carers Centre provides support to over 2000 unpaid family carers in the city of Brighton & Hove. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated group of staff and volunteers to deliver vital and innovative services to carers across our city.

Summary:

Job Title: Support and Outreach Worker (Mental Health Carers)

Salary: £20,000 – £22,000 p.a. (pro rata)

Responsible to: Senior Support and Outreach Worker (Mental Health Carers)

Hours of Work: 15 Hours per week, working days to be agreed although our preference would be Mondays and Fridays

Place of Work: The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove

Annual Leave entitlement: 25 days per year (pro rata)

Length of Contract: Fixed Term – until 30th November 2020 (followed by review and possible extension)

Period of Notice: One Month

Probation period: Six months

The Carers Centre encourages those with experience of supporting a friend or family member living with a mental health condition to apply for this role.
