A-Z Guide for Help in the Home

Home » Resources » A-Z Guide for Help in the Home

The main way for a person to get some help at home is through a needs assessment carried out by the City Council’s Adult Social Care Services. Following this assessment and a financial assessment, a care package may be offered, which may include services in the home. The person needing care may be required to make a financial contribution towards the cost of these services depending on his/her situation.

A carer can also ask Adult Social Care Services at any time to carry out a carer’s needs assessment to help make things easier.

Further services may be provided by the Council, NHS, charities, voluntary organisations or private agencies. Download our full A – Z guide to find out more.
