We are delighted that in conjunction with Carers Week 2023 we are able to launch our new free Online Carers Champion/Carer Awareness training offer.

Please use the link below to navigate to the training page on the CarersHub site where you will find 4 distinct modules offering a tailored training approach for:

General Carer Awareness – for all
Young Carers – aimed at anyone working with young people but school and college staff in particular
Primary Care – especially aimed at GP practices
Employers – with specialist information for employers and employees.

All modules will enable the completer to be registered with The Carers Centre as a Carers Champion and receive a certificate, badge and lanyard to increase their visibility in their organisation or community group. Champions will receive follow up support from us

Completion of the modules does not have to lead to Champion status but can be for general interest or as part of Continuing Professional Development. A certificate of completion is available for download or printing at the end of each module and will contain the name of the person completing the module based on details they provide.

All of this is part of our free offer, as we strive to raise awareness of unpaid family/friend carers, help organisations and communities create carer networks supported by Champions and ensure that Brighton and Hove is a “Carer friendly city”.
